RECORD COVER RESEARCH + TRACKS

I found it really hard to find albums of lofi beats as they are usually being uploaded on youtube instead of really having a real album. While I was doing research on which 2 songs I should use for the project, I accidentally discovered this super useful website with different kinds of cor cd albums displayed. I looked for lofi beats albums and there are loads of different releases of lofi beats albums.

this will be a good choice of song cuz throughout the song, there is constantly some intrusion of weird electric noises. Glitching can definitely visualize this combination of beats.

Description:
Humble Michigan native, fyvr stages driving beats along lush instrumental landscapes.

His approach to music embraces lo-fi aesthetics, sampling analog synthesizers and recording to cassette tape. Shifting from Michigan to New York City and finally settling on an island off the coast of Maine, fyvr maintains an obsessive relationship with outdated audio hardware and continues to experiment and evolve his studio practice.

Left aligned or right aligned, to make the in and outs more obviousàadd glitching effects

I love this idea of sticking glitchy stickers on the tape. This would be a cool idea as it will match with the whole glitching idea.

This is another example of a glitchy themed sleeve.

Use holographic papers? I think that hologram can provided a glitchy aesthetic. I can use them to replace the black paper I used in the previous collage gif.

another hologram cd example

As the micro-genre contains audible imperfections, I thought it'd be cool to maybe tear the album cover to symbolise imperfection and distortion.

TRACKS
emaycee - Long Nights
her - eery

Reasons I chose the tracks:
- strong fuzzy sound effects
- a lot of audible imperfections
- sound really vintage
- glitch sounds are significant
