TYPE AND LAYOUT

Alignment
Left aligned
= easy to read
Justified text
= clean and classic
Centred and right aligned
= difficult to read
Ragged edge
=When the in and outs are too obvious it may distract people from reading the text
Rag
= irregular and uneven margins

Letter spacing:
Leading
Spacing between base lines a successive lines

comfortable line length= 40-75 characters, 7-12 words

Visual gaps that run through a paragraph of text due to coincidental alignment of spaces
