The idea of looping from the typesetting of the publication is being brought forward. In the very beginning, playing around with the looping idea and the idea of making the website a digital version of the publication, text and images about the Chi Lin Nunnery were used. After creating the prototype, a new idea popped up. It was to have audience uploading their images of their childhood onto the website and the website would become a time machine to turn back on time. The whole idea was to enhance the users’ experiences by making it more personal to each of them. It has turned from a city escape to a life escape, where being nostalgic is the way to escape life, reminiscing the past. However, peers said that it would be really similar to what Facebook is doing, summarising users’ photos and making it into a slideshow. They suggested that in order to make it personal, the idea could be targeting on one generation of people and gathering their common childhood memories like, cartoons, toys, games, etc.
Some of them also suggested to link it with the current situation with Hong Kong. Putting before and after pictures places that were being destroyed. This idea was thought to be the best one as I have been really looking into the news about Hong Kong and keeping in track of everything happening. It process of communicating ideas of the movement would be smoother as I am familiar with what had happened.
