I did some experiments on photoshopping the drawings onto backgrounds of some studio taken photos. It turned out exactly like what I wanted and I am very looking forward to the shooting.
I realised that the shadows are really important as parts of the background will have to be photoshopped away and leaving some grained texture. Too solid shadows will not be suitable for the outcome. Instead, some soft shadows with blended and blurry edges would be the best. Therefore, I have to be really careful with the light settings on the shooting day.
Also, I like it with less background being photoshopped. It provides he feeling of memories being faded away and disappearing. Therefore, for the final outcome, there will be less than half of the background being photoshopped as Sonja's drawings.
These photos are also some guides for the photoshoot. I hope to have these angles shot.
