FINISHING OFF MY DESIGN FOR SCREENPRINTING TOMORROW

rough outline of idea
A rough structure of the map is being created. The dots represent the videos that I watched/ recommended and are categorised into 3 different colours.

I noted the dots with numbers to make it easier to gather information onto the map as in how long each videos are.
version 1(colours of thumbnails)
I used the colours of the thumbnails for each dot to represent each video that I watched. I found it really interesting that the colours look much brighter in the afternoon map than the night map. The afternoon map has a much solid colours, while the night one has pastel and duller colours. This could be a really good contrast in reflecting the time difference of the two maps when documented.

11:30-12:30pm
23:30-00:30am

I order to push further the daytime and nighttime idea, I decided to change the background colour of the nighttime one to strengthen the contrast of the two.

version 2 (colour-coded)
red= pure music
blue= english
yellow= chinese/ cantonese
As the maps are going to be only with lines and dots which is a quite simple design, I decided to go with primary colours for the dots to keep the simple aesthetic going. They are going to be dot stickers stuck onto the map in the final outcome.

key

In my initial idea, the length of the lines were representing the duration fo time that I watched the video, however, some video recommendations were repeated and that they should be connected to each other, therefore, using the length of lines to represent time is not feasible.
e.g.

As the coloured dots are going to be stickers in the end, I did not put them in the positives, I just put some small dots on the lines where the stickers are going to be stuck so that it will be easier for me to notice where to stick the stickers in the final outcome.
