I refined my design and modified it. The design is now 2 maps in A5 size with acetate layering on top of each of them.

- spent whole day screenprinting from 930-330
- stripped a bigger screen
- four designs on one big screen
- bought binder and mixed dark grey
- probably the paint is too thick and did not add enough binder
- the prints just wouldn't work out in the beginning, i asked the screenprinting staff and they said that it was because of the drying paint on the screen
- the paint dried out everytime i print
- have to scrub the screen with soap water to clean the dried up paint
- non stop drying up and i spent most of the time cleaning the dried out paint
- after all the scrubbing and printing, i finally got handy at it and started to know how to control the amount of ink and the how hard i should push the squeegee in order to get the paint evenly printed
- i did only the first design today as most time were spent figuring out the drying out problem and scrubbing the screens. In the end of the day, only one turned out successful with the small words completely printed and without bleeding
- the white on the acetate might not be solid enough to cover up the black lines, i will try going over the white for a few times more to get it darker
- Han gave me some dot stickers that she left from module403 and i can get to try them out sticking on the acetate
- my stickers will probably arrive tomorrow and i will try out mine on the final outcomes tomorrow after screenprinting all the designs
- i am really happy that screenprinting finally turned out good after all the time and hard work spent in the print room
- at first it was super discouraging (tuesday), after asking the staff and know what was the problem causing all the prints to fail, i tried again and things just started to turn good. I feel really satisfying that I have accomplished a lot in these two days of printing. I can see the improvements from the first place till now and everything is getting handy after two full days of screen printing
- hopefully i can finish everything tomorrow and get the final outcome done for Monday's crit
- i tried out putting the stickers on, however the stickers were a bit too big, therefore i punched holes on them to get smaller dots, they turned out still a bit bigger than expected but looked fine
The colours of the dots did not turn out as bright as expected. As mockup were done on screen, real colours won't be as bright as those on screens. Anyways, the physical mock-up outcome still looked fine.
