print black —> white would be paper
separate dots n lines
only print negative space on dots design —> leave the dots empty
desktop vibe —> paint
fold like a laptop with apple logo on top
use typeface for text/ key
apple default desktop wallpaper

dayshift/ nightshift wallpapers

- I have tried using a fading coloured background in my initial idea, from yellow to blue to show the daytime and nighttime concept but it did not turn out good. Maybe instead of creating the colours digitally, I could use real duo tone papers like what Ben had suggested. There are duo toned papers in the studio and I could try screen printing my design on them. However, the paper do not have the two coloured that I wanted - blue and yellow. I could still try printing on them for experimentation.

- Instead of printing the design on the fading coloured paper, I could use fading coloured paint
—>from yellow to blue for the daytime map
—>blue to yellow for the nighttime map

- printing the design in the size of my laptop would be a very good idea as it links with my theme well

- making the design in landscape form is also a very good idea and ties well with the theme

- the only concern is how do I fold the thick paper nicely? would it work? Would it look scrappy and unprofessional?

- maybe use the other idea that Ben suggested would be more doable
—> centre the two designs on one big sheet and have the key at the corner
—> would look neater

- separating the dots and lines of the designs would be a good idea as well
—>would look interesting when separating and more abstract
—>using a more abstract way to present the idea
—>however I have 2 maps, so there will be 4 maps on the final outcome? 2 dots maps and 2 line maps?

- I will be changing the text into the Youtube typeface that I created

TRY OUT IN SCREENPRINTING
*must expose key
1. (dots and lines separated)
—> expose dots x2, lines x2
2. (2 maps in scale of laptop size)
—> expose daytime and night time map

WHAT I NEED TO FINISH TODAY
- change kay, time and date into typeface
- make the design landscape
- try making mockups of centring the design on one sheet of paper
—> daytime + nighttime
—> dots x2 + lines x2
